Week 2 Begins

Week 2 Begins

Haven't posted since last week and already have so many photos and updates I'm not sure where to start.  Last Thursday was our lecture day, so no cooking.  We started our wine course with Colm Mc Can, Head Sommelier at Ballymaloe House and Wine Lecturer at the school.  He tested our taste buds by starting us with a chardonnay, then told us it was non-alcoholic, I didn't taste the difference!  We moved on to a Chablis, and another Chardonnay, all from France.

Friday, we were back in the kitchen and was a little calmer than Thursday, all went according to plan anyway.  On Friday night most of the school went to the Blackbird in Ballycotton to let off steam after the week.    Here are some photo's from the last week and weekend.
